What is the "patented" technology of hair testing?
PDT-90's patented technology was pioneered in 1977 by Dr. Werner Baumgartner
and Annette Baumgartner. Over ten years of research funded by the National Institute
of Justice, the Veteran's Administration, the United States Navy and the American
Society for Industrial Security on thousands of test subjects have proven that
drugs deposited in hair can be measured by radioimmunoassay and ultrasensitive
gas chromatograph/mass spectrometry procedures. The effectiveness of hair follicle
analysis for drugs of abuse has been documented in more than 500 scientific
publications worldwide. In 1987 the company became the world's first laboratory
to offer a cost effective method for drug tests rather than body fluids for
the detection of drugs of abuse. It is the first company to have been awarded
both U.S. and foreign patents for the detection of drugs in hair. The first
U.S. and European patent covers the universal drug extraction procedure for
drug tests specimens. The second U.S. patent covers the removal of substances
which interfere with the immunochemical screening assay for marijuana. The marijuana
screening assay is the most challenging scientific problem of hair follicle
analysis. These patents enable the company to conduct drug tests far more effectively
than other laboratories claiming the ability to detect drugs through hair follicle
analysis. More recently, the company received both European and Japanese patents
for its method of hair follicle tests. There are companies who have tried to
emulate our proprietary process of hair follicle analysis. It is important to
remember that all hair tests is not of the same quality.
How does the hair testing work?
The PDT-90 Personal Drug Testing Service™ uses a simple, in-home hair sample
collection. The hair is tested by lab for evidence of drug use which occurred
during the approximately previous 90 days. The package provides instructions
on how to collect a small hair sample from your child. You simply send the hair
sample for laboratory testing in the envelope provided. Use your PDT-90® code
number to receive the results confidentially and anonymously over the phone.

Yes, your child's results are kept completely confidential and are for
your use only. NO NAMES ARE EVER USED IN THE TESTING PROCESS. YOUR PDT-90 NUMBER

How long will it take to receive the hair drug testing results?
Test results are available typically 5 working days from the time that
they are received at the lab, provided that all of the instructions for submitting
the sample are followed properly. To receive the results, simply call our toll-free
